We’re looking for people to join the Vodafone Group Pension Scheme Trustee Board
Over the next 15 months, we will have three vacancies for Member Nominated Directors on the Trustee Board of the Vodafone Group Pension Scheme (the Scheme).

What is a Member Nominated Director (MND)?
MNDs are a part of the Trustee Board — a group of seven people responsible for managing pension benefits for around 20,000 Scheme members. Three of these seven positions are held by MNDs.
MNDs are members just like you. They initially join our team for a three-year term and can choose to serve a second term before having to seek re-election.
All three MND positions will become available. We’re looking for people to fill these positions. If you apply, and you’re successful, you’ll take up your post when the MND you’re replacing reaches the end of their term.
What we are looking for
You don’t need to be a pension expert to become an MND. We’re looking for people who are curious, work well as part of a team, and want to use their skills for the best interests of others.
We’d like to hear from people from a wide range of backgrounds, with diverse skills, expertise, and perspectives. We know that bringing different people together leads to better decision-making and ultimately better outcomes for our members. You do need to be a deferred or pensioner member of VGPS to be an MND.
To find out more about the role, read the Role Profile. If you have any questions please email GroupPensions@Vodafone.com
What is involved
MNDs are Trustee Directors of Vodafone Group Pension Trustee Ltd. The Trustee Directors have four Board meetings per year. Each Trustee Director is also usually a member of either the Investment Funding committee or the Operations Committee (both committees also meeting four times per year). There may be requirements for Trustee Directors to join other committees or working groups set up from time to time. These committees are generally set up with Terms of Reference to ensure that they operate efficiently and free up time to focus the board on strategic priorities.
Vodafone employees will need to take time out of their main job role to carry out their Trustee duties. Please discuss with your manager before applying.
If you are appointed to one of the roles, and you are not an existing Vodafone employee, you will be paid. Pay is set at a level appropriate for a non-professional trustee director and increases annually in line with Vodafone’s average salary increases for UK employees.
